The Kit List: March 2019

SportPursuit HQ has been basking in the surprise sunshine in London this week and getting excited for the imminent arrival of Spring! Officially the first day of Spring is the 20th March – do you take a different measure from your pursuits? Perhaps Spring is when marathon season starts, or when the summer bike starts to come out for weekend rides, or maybe it just means more hours in the day to explore the beautiful changing seasons in the great outdoors.

However you are springing into March we’ve got your monthly update of news, inspiration and gear tips to get the month off to a strong start.

Rapha Explore: Adventure starts anywhere

Rapha always manage to tap into the mood of the moment, and for those of us who have been putting in the winter miles and looking forward to summer smiles, their latest film says it all. Bring on the weekend rides with friends, shared adventures and new experiences. Never mind the Adelaide hills, an ice cream at Box Hill will do!

Sleeping Under the Stars

As the temperatures rise into Spring and the days become longer, a night under canvas suddenly becomes much more appealing. Sure, you might be a hard-as-nails adventurer who enjoys shoveling snow off their tent before a morning brew, but for many people the perfect balance is finding comfort in the wilderness.

Getting out in the Spring sunshine is a joy with the right gear, like the innovative Tentsile tree tents.

If you’re starting to plan your outside nights for summer check out our range of tents and sleeping equipment to keep you cosy under canvas. From lightweight tents and bothy bags by Terra Nova to fully featured designs from the ‘Mother of Comfort’ Big Agnes, we’ve got a great range to discover.

Be More Friendly

For Planks Clothing life is all about peace, love and powder turns. Working with recycled fabrics that include recycled plastic bottles, Planks are trying to reduce their impact on the environment, support the ski community and raise awareness about the threat to our favourite mountain playgrounds from climate change.

As an added bonus, the Planks skiwear range looks great and performs on every day in the mountains, whether you’re hiking for fresh lines or Spring jibbing in the park.
