Race information

Paced 20 mile race along the River Thames Towpath on Sunday 4th March 2018. Start at 0800 Hrs. Hosted by Clapham Chasers Running & Triathlon Club, sponsored by SportPursuit.

Course details

Flat, traffic-free and mostly off-road route along the south side of the River Thames. From Race HQ (start and finish) at Bishop’s Park, runners cross Putney Bridge and trace a 10 mile out and back route to Richmond. The terrain varies and is uneven in stretches. Primarily gravel with mud in places and limited lengths of footpath. Normal road or trail running shoes would be ideal.

Each mile point will be marked. In the event of unexpected maintenance or flooding on the route, well-marked short diversions may be introduced.

Runners will need to keep left at all times since the course will be open to the public who retain right of way. For Mile One and at several other points along the course, boathouse users will have priority and runners must give way. More detailed information about the course and the day can be found here.
