It’s the final countdown. The SportPursuit StreetVelodrome Series Super Final is taking place this Thursday (7th August) in London at Exchange Square, Broadgate. The world’s only pop-up track cycling event will be coming to a close for the year in spectacular fashion. Get a glimpse of the action so far in the video below.
Feeling left out? The good news is that you can still get involved in this monumental event. Want to get a taste of what velodrome racing is really like? From 11am to 5pm, there will be a general public session where you can get a free structured track coaching session along with a free bike and helmet loan.
If you fancy your chances, you can also take part in the amateur rider qualification. There are 2 spots (one female, one male) available for the fastest riders of the day who will proceed to the the Super Final taking place later in the evening. If you make it through, you can expect to be riding alongside Craig Maclean MBE (who just won 2 golds at the Commonwealth Games,) London 2012 Olympian Ross Edgard and ITV’s The Cycle Show presenter, Anna Glowinski.

If you’re in the mood to spend an evening seeing something cool and unique, simply come along after work to watch the finals. Soak up the sunshine and enjoy the electric atmosphere as you watch pro and amateur cyclists race around the pop-up velodrome in historic London. Its completely free to attend, no booking required and there is 100% visibility of the velodrome.
