Get started

Whether you are a seasoned pro or a complete beginner, The Ski Club can enhance your snowsports experience with our info and advice sections which are clear and easy to follow. Preparation is key when planning a snowsports holiday, and that is why we host a range of information about how to get ready for the winter.

Before booking a ski trip, we would recommend that you research which destinations are most suitable for yourself or your group. Our resort pages are extremely comprehensive and updated regularly with information such as lift prices, weather conditions and new facilities. Find out whether resorts are family friendly, ideal for intermediates, off piste paradises and more. Photo galleries and videos on these pages help to bring the resorts to life, so that you know that the destination is the right one for you.

Choose your kit

Once you have decided where to go, the attention turns to clothing, kit and equipment. Ski clothing is specialised, so we provide lots of advice about what to wear on the slopes. You can find explanations on everything from boots to goggles and gain a solid understanding of how technical equipment performs to ensure you stay cosy and comfortable on the slopes. Reviews of the latest clothing and technology can be found in our news section where our writers put new season kit through its paces and share honest and impartial reviews of how it fared during testing.

Each year new innovations in ski technology are showcased at the Ski Test event, held annually in different resorts. Reviews written by our expert panel of testers are now live on the site and cover over 100 skis. You’ll find a wide variety of piste, freeride and touring models along with videos of the equipment in action and interviews with the testers giving in-depth analysis of the experience. This year we’re inviting members to head out to the Ski Tests with us and test the skis themselves!

As well as all of the reviews and tips, our handy packing list is designed to help travellers tick off all the essentials and find out what is recommended for a comfortable trip.

Help us help you

At the Ski Club we are all about helping skiers and snowboarders improve their experience on the mountains. Our Freshtracks holidays are popular amongst solo skiers or snowboarders who are looking to improve their skills with people of the same ability. It can sometimes be frustrating being on the mountain with people who are at a different level, and we encourage skiers to join us to improve at the same pace, alongside likeminded travellers.

Learning and development is a prominent focus for us and before you plan a trip, we can give advice on instruction and training for all levels. Find information about all types of skiing such as telemarking, freestyle and touring or find out how to become an instructor with our handy guide. If you are thinking of working a ski season, our seasonnaire section has a wealth of information to ensure you make the right choice and find a job that suits you.

Stay safe with us

Safety is a particular area of focus this season as we launch a comprehensive mountain safety programme including talks and courses both in the UK and abroad. Before travelling to the mountains, it is important to ensure you are informed about the potential risks; you can find lot of helpful hints and tips on equipment such as transceivers, probes and shovels, on our website. Along with familiarising yourself with the equipment, it is imperative that you purchase adequate insurance to cover your activity in case of emergency. Ski Club insurance is market leading and can even cover you off piste without a guide (although this is not advisable.)

Our in-house team of experts is available to give you advice on any area of snowsports and welcome any questions you might have. If you would like to find out more about membership and becoming part of the UK’s biggest snowsports community, give our friendly team a call on 020 8410 2000 or head to our website.

Check out our different membership options here. Don’t forget you’ll get 25% off a new membership with the code SPORTPURSUIT25. Terms apply:
